Workshop at IIT Patna

 On October 19th, I had the incredible opportunity to attend a workshop by Techobytes at IIT Patna, which was part of the Celesta event, IIT Patna’s annual tech fest. This was a two-day workshop focused on AI and Machine Learning, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life.

The day started with my journey from Buxar to Bihta. I took a train and then a bus, filled with excitement for what lay ahead. For the first time in my life, I saw the iconic main gate of IIT Patna. The sight of it immediately brought a smile to my face—one of pure admiration and pride. The sprawling campus, with its modern infrastructure and vibrant energy, was unlike anything I had seen before.

After exploring the campus, I headed to the APJ Abdul Kalam building to wait for the workshop. While waiting, I met two amazing individuals, Pratham and Kunal, who were also attending the workshop. Pratham is enrolled in IIT Madras' BSc program, while Kunal is pursuing his B.Tech in CSE from PSIT Kanpur. Both of them quickly became good friends, and we bonded over our shared interests and excitement for the workshop.

We grabbed a meal at the IIT mess and then went to our room, where we were staying during the event. Shortly after, we took a bus to the workshop venue. The workshop ran from 10 AM to 5 PM, and it was absolutely enlightening.

Our instructor, Bipul Shahi, was truly outstanding. Bipul Shahi is not just an instructor; he's a mentor, consultant, and expert in various cutting-edge technologies such as AI, ML, MLOps, Python, R, Data Science, Deep Learning, and more. His teaching style was exceptional—clear, engaging, and very friendly. Despite the complex nature of the topics, he broke everything down into digestible parts, ensuring that even beginners could follow along. His enthusiasm for the subject was contagious, and his ability to simplify tough concepts made the learning process not just easy but enjoyable. Having a mentor like him in such an esteemed institution made me feel incredibly lucky.

Being from a Tier-3 city, this was an entirely new experience for me. The scale of the IIT campus, the cutting-edge technology showcased at the tech fest, and the dynamic atmosphere filled with events like Robo War, Death Race, Aqua War, Drone Challenges, and more—it was all incredibly overwhelming in the best possible way. I had never been surrounded by such a highly intelligent and driven group of people, and it was truly inspiring.

This experience has motivated me more than ever to work hard and aim for admission to prestigious institutions like IITs. Being part of this environment, learning from experts like Bipul Shahi, and connecting with like-minded peers made me realize the importance of surrounding yourself with the right mindset.

In those two days, I didn’t just learn about AI and ML—I got a glimpse of what’s possible when you immerse yourself in a space filled with innovation, intelligence, and ambition. And that’s a feeling I’ll carry with me as I continue my journey.
