Reflecting on My Days: The Good, the Bad, and the Exciting
Waking Up Late on Sunday
On Sunday morning, as usual, I woke up late. I had planned to study and complete my backlog from previous classes, but I ended up procrastinating again.
Getting Distracted by My Phone
I got distracted by my phone addiction and wasted time mindlessly scrolling instead of studying. This is a bad habit of mine that I want to fix.
Going to a Coaching Seminar
At 11am my friend Ankit came over and suggested we go to a seminar at the municipal building hosted by a JEE and NEET coaching institute called L-1. I got ready and went with him.
Thoughts on the Coaching Institute
We watched the coaching institute teachers do their presentations. I always think these types of institutes are scams just trying to get parents to pay for expensive courses. I won't get into all of that though. I just went to gain some new experiences and talk with friends.
Receiving a Book from a Teacher
After the seminar I received a book called IIT ADDA from a teacher named Brijesh Sir. But I did not read this book. I should not have even asked for it since these institutes are just running businesses and scams in my opinion. So I decided not to read it.
Wasting Time on Unimportant Things
After getting home, I realized I have a bad habit of wasting whole days because of small excitements, like how I ruined Sunday just because I got a book from a famous teacher. This taught me that I waste time on unimportant things instead of focusing on my studies. I will talk more about my time management mistakes in my next post.
Going to College for an Exam
On Monday I again woke up late and got distracted by my phone addiction. I had to go to college to take an exam but I misunderstood the date. It was actually scheduled for Tuesday the 26th, not Monday the 25th. So I went just for attendance.
Practicing English at College
There is a place in my college where I gain confidence to speak English because none of my friends are there to criticize me. I did this to improve my English skills.
Debating Technology Topics
There was a debate on whether science is a boon or bane, and whether smartphones are good or bad. I wrote 3 pages on the smartphone topic, explaining how they can be good while also acknowledging their limitations, especially for students. My teacher talked about downsides of smartphones and AI, though I know his tech knowledge is not very advanced. I agree phones are bad for students but good for working professionals. This was an interesting debate to participate in.
Riding on the Roof of the Bus
On the way home, the bus was completely full with nowhere even to stand. So I spontaneously decided to climb up on the roof, even though it's prohibited. At first I was worried what would happen if police saw me, but then I decided to just enjoy the ride instead of wasting energy on fear. It had been my childhood dream to ride on top of a bus! The feeling was really thrilling and fun, though also a bit scary since it was my first time except once years ago after finishing 10th standard exams.
Looking Ahead to Studies
Finally I got home safely after the exciting roof ride. I have an exam tomorrow so I need to focus on studying, making videos, and completing other tasks. Well, that covers my eventful Sunday and Monday! Let me know if you need any clarification or have additional suggestions to improve my descriptive writing.
